– **FULL** September 16, 9am-4pm, $191.43/student. Intro to Bladesmithing with Matt Parkinson. In this class students will forge, heat treat, and grind a small, self-handled utility knife that is perfect for myriad tasks. The forged handles will be wrapped with paracord for a comfortable and durable grip. This is a great class for those just getting into the craft, or those looking for a fairly short class with a focus on utility. Space for 6 students.
 
– **ONE SPOT REMAINING**September 29, 9am-4pm, $191.43/student. Intro to Small Axes/Hatchets with Peter Swarz-Burt. In this class the students will learn the basics of forging, heat treating, and finishing a small axe. This will include a lesson on drifting the axe socket. This is perfect for the beginner looking to get into the craft or a more experienced knifemaker looking to try something a little different. Space for 6 students.
 
– October 5-7, 6pm-9pm Friday, 9am-4pm Saturday and Sunday, $531.75/student. Damascus Kitchen Knives with Matt Parkinson. Students will be provided a damascus blank, which they will forge out into a chef’s knife. After heat treating and grinding these blades will be fitted in wood handles. Polishing and etching will bring out the damascus patterns in these awesome daily-use knives. Space for 6 students.
 
– October 13-14, 9am-4pm, $382.86/student. Utility Choppers with Peter Swarz-Burt. Forge out and finish a rustic and utilitarian all-purpose chopper/survival blade. Perfect for outdoorsman and aspiring bladesmiths alike! Space for 6 students.
 
– November 3, 9am-6pm, $255.24/student. Wood-Handled Paring Knives with Matt Parkinson. This class is perfect for culinary and knifemaking enthusiasts looking to add a little custom cutlery to thier kitchen. Over the course of the class you will forge out, heat-treat, and finish a small wood-handled paring knife in high-carbon steel. Space for 6 students.
 
– November 17-18, 9am-4pm, $382.86/student. Intro to Bladesmithing: Hamon Edition with Jamie Lundell. In this class students will first forge small “self-handled” utility knives and then finish them during the remainder of the class. Heat treating will be done with clay coatings to create a hamon on the blade, most commonly known from the Japanese katana. The knives will be ground and polished to bring out the hamon, then the handles will be cord-wrapped to make fully functional tools. Leather sheaths may also be made if time permits. Space for 6 students.
 
– December 7-9, 6pm-9pm Friday, 9am-4pm Saturday and Sunday, $531.75/student. Damascus Seaxes with Jamie Lundell. In this class that is becoming a classic for Jamie, students will be provided a damascus blank, which they will forge out into a traditional seax blade. After heat treating and grinding these blades will be fitted in wood or antler handles. Polishing and etching will bring out the damascus patterns in these awesome, historic utility knives. Space for 6 students.
 
– December 14, 6pm-9pm, $191.43/couple. Date Night with Forged Hooks with Matt Parkinson. In this class the couples will work together to forge, texture, and assemble a set of decorative steel wall-hooks for your home! Space for 3 couples.
 
– December 29, $382.86/couple. Couples Intro to Bladesmithing with Jamie Lundell. In this class couples will will forge, heat treat, and grind a pair of small, self-handled utility knife that is perfect for myriad tasks.
